The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Special Duties, Comrade Ini Ememobong, has officially resigned his appointment following Governor Pastor Umo Eno’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his resignation, Ememobong stated that he cannot join the Governor in crossing over to the APC, signaling a difference in political alignment and conviction.
Recall that Governor Umo Eno had earlier directed all Commissioners unwilling to join him in APC to resign their positions.
This development marks a significant political shift in Akwa Ibom’s leadership and may spark more resignations or political realignments in the coming days.
