The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has announced the postponement of the forthcoming Local Government election. The new date has been fixed for August 30.
This was disclosed by the RSIEC Chairman during a General Stakeholders’ Meeting, where he cited the need to ensure proper preparations and smooth conduct of the exercise.
Further details on the revised timetable and guidelines are expected to be communicated in due course.
