Nigeria’s Flying Eagles bounced back at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Saudi Arabia on Friday.

Nasiru Salihu opened scoring for Nigeria in the 10th minute with a fine header, before Amar Al Yuhaybi equalised for Saudi Arabia in the 21st minute. Amos Ochoche restored the lead in the 38th minute, but Talal Haji’s header early in the second half brought the Saudis level again.

Captain Daniel Bameyi sealed the win for the Flying Eagles deep into stoppage time, converting from the penalty spot.

The result lifts Nigeria to third in Group F with three points from two matches, behind Colombia and Norway, who each have four points.

The Flying Eagles face Colombia in their final group game on Sunday morning.
