The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Debo Ologunagba, has attributed the wave of defections from the party to the All Progressives Congress, APC, to intimidation and coercion rather than ideology.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Ologunagba said most defections were not motivated by policies or principles.
“80% to 90% of those so-called defections are not based on principles or policies. The reality is that facts are facts. The alternative fact cannot be the reality,” he said.
He accused the ruling party of using threats to lure opposition members.
“Look at Osun State. The APC keep saying join us or we will stress you. This intimidation is happening across the federation in different states,” Ologunagba added.
