The Senate on Thursday asked former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode and ex-Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Dambazau to “take a bow and go” during their ambassadorial screening.
President Bola Tinubu’s ambassadorial nominees appeared at the National Assembly for the exercise, including former presidential aide Reno Omokri and former Enugu State governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Their screening comes amid a call from former Senate Leader Ali Ndume for the president to withdraw the nomination list, claiming it violates the Federal Character principle required by the Nigerian Constitution.
