Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, shared on Thursday that his salary in the early years of his ministry was just N300 per month. He made the revelation while addressing worshippers during the Shiloh 2025 event.
Oyedepo explained that when he committed to full-time ministry, he chose to depend solely on God for provision. Citing Luke 10, he recalled how Jesus sent out disciples without material support, telling them that “the labourer is worthy of his hire.”
He compared this to a soldier who never has to return home to seek money for uniforms or equipment, saying that the one who enlists a soldier is responsible for his needs.
He noted that at no point did he ask God how he would survive financially, nor did he rely on church members for support. According to him, for more than four decades, the ministry has depended entirely on divine provision.
Oyedepo encouraged believers to trust in God, saying that revelation and obedience remain the foundation for spiritual and material growth.
