The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has warned the Taminu Turaki led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that he and his supporters are prepared to face them if they decide to challenge recent court rulings at the Supreme Court.

Wike made the statement on Monday after his faction recorded victory in nine appeals filed against them by the Makinde backed Turaki faction.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja had earlier dismissed the appeal brought before it by the Turaki led faction of the party.

The appellate court also upheld the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja delivered on October 31, 2025, which restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, from recognizing the outcome of the PDP’s 2025 National Convention.

Reacting to the judgment, Wike described the ruling as an opportunity for reconciliation within the party but warned that further litigation could deepen the crisis.

“Today’s judgement is an opportunity for PDP to reconcile, but if they decide to go to the Supreme Court, it won’t augur well for the party.

“If they insist on going to the Supreme Court, we’ll be ready for them. We won all nine appeals against them Today in court, and each comes with N2m cost totalling N18m against them.”
