A legal practitioner, Kenneth Okonkwo, has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of being complicit in criminal activities affecting Nigerians.
Okonkwo made the allegation on Wednesday during a live appearance on ‘Politics Today’, a programme aired on Channels Television.
He spoke while addressing the ongoing debate on the establishment of state police amid rising insecurity across the country.
According to him, President Tinubu will continue to politicise the issue of state police, arguing that the current administration lacks the capacity to effectively tackle insecurity.
“So I’m sorry to say this, that the government is now part of the criminal gang that is buying and selling Nigerians.
“The only thing this lame, incompetent, lying and corrupt government know how to do is to politicize everything, including security. That’s why it is metastasizing all over the nation.
“The President is incapable. He doesn’t have enough boots on the ground. You have a lot of ungoverned spaces. Hunger and hardship is increasing. Suffering of people increasing.
“They are easy to be recruited. Criminality is not being punished. Tinubu and his cohorts say they talk to the terrorist nicely to release the ones that they have.
“You can imagine that more than hundreds of people are kidnapped at a time, and they will release the whole 100 and nothing happened,” he said.
