Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir Ahmad El Rufai, has lost his mother, Hajiya Umma, who passed away on Friday.
The family announced her death the same day, noting that she had been battling age related health challenges which worsened in recent times.
According to the family, her condition further deteriorated after she learned of her son’s detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC.
They also disclosed that El Rufai had been actively involved in managing his mother’s health before her passing.
The family prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
