United States President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that ongoing engagements between the United States and Iran will result in a favourable agreement.
Speaking during an interview with CNBC on Tuesday, Trump said Iran would be compelled to participate in the negotiations.
“They have no choice but to send them. What I think is that we’re going to end up with a great deal. I think it’s got I think they have no choice,” Trump said.
He maintained that the United States is negotiating from a position of strength.
The President also reiterated that the United States would not lift its blockade on Iran until a deal is successfully concluded.
“The blockade has been a tremendous success,” Trump added.
