The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially recognised Senator David Mark as the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress.
Checks on the commission’s portal confirm the update, reflecting the reinstatement of Mark’s position within the party leadership.
The development follows a recent Supreme Court judgment which vacated an earlier order by the Court of Appeal that barred his recognition as national chairman.
It would be recalled that on April 1, 2026, INEC had removed the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from its official portal as National Chairman and National Secretary of the ADC respectively, citing the appellate court’s decision.
Further updates on the development are expected.
