The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) House of Assembly Primary Election for Aba Central State Constituency, held on Thursday, 28th May 2026, witnessed massive participation and impressive mobilization of party members and supporters across the eight wards of the constituency.
Mr. Roseson Francis Obasi emerged as the consensus candidate and subsequently secured a landslide victory in the primary election after polling the highest number of votes across the wards of Aba Central State Constituency.
At the conclusion of the exercise, the Party Primary Returning Officer officially declared Mr. Roseson Francis Obasi winner of the primaries, having secured a total of 281 votes cast during the election.
Mr. Obasi is widely regarded as a reliable, honest, and dedicated individual whose loyalty to the values and ideals of the party remains unwavering. His emergence reflects the confidence and trust reposed in him by party stakeholders, delegates, and supporters throughout the constituency.
The overwhelming support demonstrated during the primaries was remarkable, as party faithful from different wards trooped out in large numbers, singing and dancing in solidarity with the candidate and expressing optimism for a brighter political future under his leadership.
This victory marks another significant step toward strengthening democratic participation and advancing the collective aspirations of the people of Aba Central State Constituency under the platform of APGA.
