Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has hosted candidates of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, from Benue State as part of efforts to strengthen party cohesion and prepare for forthcoming elections.
The meeting was disclosed in a statement shared on the official page of Kwankwaso’s media aide, Hon. Saifullahi Hassan.
According to the statement, the delegation included the party’s governorship candidate, senatorial candidates, House of Representatives candidates and State House of Assembly candidates from Benue State.
The candidates visited Kwankwaso at his Maitama residence in Abuja, where discussions focused on party unity, grassroots mobilisation and strategies for electoral success.
“The visit provided an opportunity for fruitful discussions on party unity, grassroots mobilization, and strategies towards achieving success in the forthcoming elections,” the statement noted.
The meeting is seen as part of ongoing efforts by the party leadership to consolidate support structures and strengthen coordination among candidates ahead of the elections.
