Dangote Refinery backed MRS Oil Nigeria Plc filling stations have reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, across Abuja and surrounding areas.
A market survey on Friday showed that MRS retail outlets adjusted petrol prices to N1,241 per litre from N1,317 per litre.
This represents a price reduction of N76 per litre, equivalent to a 5.77 percent decrease.
The price adjustment comes three days after Dangote Refinery reduced its petrol gantry price by N75 per litre following a drop in global crude oil prices to below 80 dollars per barrel.
Meanwhile, NNPC Limited, AA Rano, Empire Energy and other filling stations in Abuja are yet to adjust their pump prices despite the decline in crude oil prices and the reduction in refinery supply costs.
The delay in price cuts by several petroleum marketers has continued to generate public frustration, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the slow transmission of lower supply costs to retail pump prices.
