In fulfillment of his campaign promise to promote agriculture and improve the livelihoods of his constituents, the Member representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Dennis Rowland Chinwendu Ceasar, has empowered farmers across the constituency with a ₦5 million non-refundable grant.
The empowerment initiative is aimed at supporting agricultural activities, increasing food production, and enhancing economic opportunities for local farmers in line with efforts to strengthen food security and rural development.
Presenting the grants to the beneficiaries on behalf of the lawmaker, Mr. Leo Otti commended Hon. Ceasar for his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, describing the initiative as a demonstration of purposeful and responsive leadership. He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously to expand their farming activities and contribute to the agricultural growth of the constituency.
Mr. Otti also encouraged the lawmaker to sustain his people-oriented programmes, noting that such interventions have continued to make a positive impact on the lives of the people.
The event was attended by the Labour Party Chairman, Mr. Smart Ogbonna, Mr. Azubuike Nwankpa, party stakeholders, community leaders, and other dignitaries.
