Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his visit to President Bola Tinubu, alleging that nearly 50 residents of the state have died in election related violence.
Sowore made the allegation in a post on his official X handle on Thursday while reacting to photographs of Adeleke meeting with President Tinubu.
The AAC chieftain described the meeting as evidence of a political understanding between the Osun governor and the President, claiming that an agreement between both leaders had been sealed.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke, the man who has his brains beneath his feet, has now gone to visit his preferred presidential candidate, failed Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu,” Sowore wrote.
He also raised concerns over violence linked to the Osun election, alleging that nearly 50 people had lost their lives in election related incidents.
“Meanwhile, nearly 50 Osun citizens have been killed in election-related violence, including another person killed yesterday, sacrificed to his spoilt brat cousin, Davido, near the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo,” he alleged.
Sowore further criticised Adeleke’s political relationship with Tinubu, linking the governor’s visit to the President to political developments and alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The allegations surrounding the reported number of deaths remain Sowore’s claims, as presented in his statement.
