The Item Traditional rulers Council has conferred the Chieftaincy title of NWACHINAEMERE1 OF ITEM on the Deputy Chairman of Bende Local Government Area Hon Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro.
The Conferment took place today Saturday 17th September 2022 at the just concluded New Yam 2022 celebration (INU NDI ITEM) of the entire Item ancient Kingdom held at Comprehensive Secondary school, along College road Okoko Item Bende Local Government Area.
Speaking over the choice of the title, HRH Eze Dr Innocent Kalu Mba, (IGBIDI1)Chairman Item Traditional royal council said it was to encourage the Deputy Chairman of Bende Local Government Area Hon Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro over his outstanding achievements.
Performing the Conferment, the Chairman of Bende Council of Traditional rulers Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu said Hon Promise Uzoma Okoro is the type of young leaders that Bende is praying to have, he prayed the almighty God to continue to sustain and lift the Deputy Chairman Hon Promise Uzoma Okoro higher in his political endeavors.
Responding, the Deputy Chairman Bende Local Government Area Hon Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro (Nwachinaemere1 of Item) said he was very happy to have been found worthy and deserving of a Chieftaincy title by the entire Item ancient Kingdom.
“With what you have done today my father’s, I have entered a Political covenant with Item ancient Kingdom, I won’t forget this honour as God continue to sustain me”
He appreciated them for the Chieftaincy title as he said God has spoken through the traditional rulers of Item .
Some of the family and friends that accompanied the Deputy Chairman included the Leader of Bende Legislative Council Hon Acho Udensi, Hon Nduaka Nworisara, Mrs Ori Agwara, Hon Iheme Elijah, Hon Oforbuike Agwu, Hon Nduka Isaiah, The Ward Chairmen of PDP in Ugwueke Ezeukwu, Mrs Oyiri Elijah,Mr Eke Anyaele among others.
