The ChangeAbia Organization has endorsed Chief Okechukwu Ahiwe of the PDP for the 2023 governorship election slated for March 18th.
The endorsement took place at emergency meeting of the group held at the Heaven is Real Country home of Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba on thursday and attended by the leadership and seventeen local government area coordinators of the state, and chaired by the leader, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba.
The Changeabia Organisation which is made up of over 150 solid affiliate groups is reputed for endorsing candidates with capacity to win elections since 1999.
Criteria for the endorsement are, soundness of mind, understanding of the operative environment by the candidate haven worked as the Chief of Staff to the Governor before his election at the primaries, meaning that he will hit the ground running once elected governor;
his knowledge of the problems of Abia state at internship and resolve to tackle them headlong, undertaking to pay outstanding pensions, and gratuities once elected into office.
The guber candidate also committed to pay monthly salaries and emoluments promptly, complete portharcourt road in Aba and other roads; others include total urban renewal of Aba and Umuahia cities, create industrial clusters and jobs for the youths, review issues of touting and multiple taxation through e-governance, among many others.
The Changeabia Organisation will not hesitate to withdraw their support if the candidate deviates from any of the above commitments once elected governor.
