Well-known social critic Aisha Yesufu has made fun of former Kaduna and Kogi State governors Nasir El-Rufai and Yahaya Bello for their current circumstances.
Nigerian politicians believe that their eight years in office will endure forever, according to a post made by Yesufu on her X handle.
In her writing: “To Nigerian Politicians, 8 years is FOREVER!
Little do they know!
I laugh in ElRufai and Yahaya Bello.”
The statement was made in response to Yahaya Bello’s attempted arrest and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) subsequent declaration of his wanted status for offenses including financial and economic crimes.
Bello is sought after in relation to a purported N80.2 billion money laundering case.
The Federal High Court in Abuja was previously notified by the EFCC that, should the need arise, it might use the Nigerian Army to arrest Bello.
