PDP suspends Dino Melaye from the party, fueling speculation about internal conflicts and future political consequences.

Dino Melaye, the former Senator representing Kogi State has been suspended from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by its state chapter.

Due to his failure to appear before a summons, Melaye was suspended by the PDP exco at Ayetoro Gbede, Ward 1.

Melaye’s suspension was justified by the Ward exco who cited his anti-party activities and alleged misconduct.

During a meeting in Aiyetoro/Luagba Ward 1 on Friday, the party’s executive committee of the ward reviewed a disciplinary report and subsequently decided to suspend the former senator representing Kogi West due to allegations of anti-party activities.

The Ward Chairman, Abayomi Osamika and Secretary, Yodson Dayo of the ward signed it.

According to OBASANJONEWS, the resolution stated that Senator Dino Melaye’s behavior has caused shame and damaged the party’s reputation. Therefore, it is no longer acceptable for him to remain a member of the party.

Henceforth, the Ward party exco has suspended Dino Melaye from the Peoples Democratic Party with immediate effect.

“The suspension complies with Article 59 (1) of the PDP constitution, granting authority to Ward party excos for taking disciplinary measures against members who have misbehaved.”
