The Abia State Independent Electoral Commission(ABSIEC) has commenced payment of Allowance to all the Ad-hoc Staff that participated in the November 2nd 2024 Local Government Area Election held in Abia State.
It was gathered that the payment of the allowance to all the Ad-hoc Staff commenced on Tuesday 17th December 2024 and is still ongoing.
Some of the Ad-hoc Staff who participated in the exercise has also confirmed receipt of their money as they alerts started dropping on Tuesday afternoon.
“I want to appreciate the Governor Dr Alex Otti and the management of ABSIEC to fulfilling their promise of paying us for a job well done” one of the Ad-hoc Staff told our correspondence.
A source at the Commission said all the Ad-hoc Staff who worked in the November Local Government election in Abia State will receive their allowance before the end of the week as the delay is now from their banks and no longer from the commission
