Nigeria born defender Hamdi Akujobi has completed a free transfer to Dutch side Excelsior Rotterdam.
The 26 year old signed a contract that will run until the end of the season, with an option for a one year extension.
Akujobi is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament injury sustained during his stint with SC Heerenveen and is in the final stages of rehabilitation.
The right back is expected to strengthen the squad with his Eredivisie experience once he returns to full fitness.
He began his professional career at Feyenoord and has also featured for Almere City.
