Chelsea forward João Pedro has revealed that he is backing Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or award.
The Brazilian international made the remarks during a recent interview with TNT Sports Brazil ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup final clash against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Pedro praised the England captain for his exceptional quality and consistency, noting that Kane’s performances at Bayern Munich have further highlighted his world class ability.
“He was already having extraordinary numbers in the Premier League, but now seeing him at Bayern, we can really get a picture of the quality that Harry Kane possesses,” Pedro said.
The Chelsea attacker also recalled facing Kane during his time at Watford when the striker was still playing for Tottenham Hotspur.
“I have a lot of admiration for him. I played against him when I was at Watford, and he was at Tottenham, and he totally dominated the game.
“I’m always rooting for him because he’s a fantastic player. Can he win the Ballon d’Or? In my opinion, yes. Because he’s an extraordinary player.”
