Victor Osimhen has pledged to continue giving his best for Galatasaray after scoring twice in the club’s 2 to 0 victory over Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Super Lig.

The Nigerian striker delivered an impressive performance in the fiercely contested encounter, helping Galatasaray reclaim the top position in the league standings.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 29th minute before doubling Galatasaray’s advantage a minute before half time.

İrfan Kahveci pulled one back for Fenerbahçe two minutes after the hour mark, but Galatasaray held on to secure the victory.

The 27 year old had faced criticism over his form before finding the net in Galatasaray’s 4 to 2 UEFA Champions League victory over his former club, Lille, last week.

However, Osimhen said he remained focused on his responsibilities at Galatasaray and was not concerned about criticism on social media.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the striker reaffirmed his commitment to the Turkish champions and praised the supporters for standing by him since his arrival.

He said, “There were discussions before the match this week. I love this club. I always say it.

“I will give everything for this club. I don’t care about social media. I see the fans. Galatasaray fans have always been behind me since I arrived, ” Osimhen told the club’s official website.

The striker’s brace against Fenerbahçe further underlined his importance to Galatasaray as the club continues its pursuit of success in the Turkish Super Lig.
