Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has praised Beşiktaş for their performance after they played out a 2 to 2 draw against Crystal Palace in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.

The Turkish side extended their unbeaten run in the group phase after recovering a point against the Premier League club in a closely contested encounter.

Ndidi opened the scoring for Beşiktaş just before half time, recording his first goal of the season for the club.

However, Crystal Palace fought back after the break, with Yéremi Pino and Jean Philippe Mateta scoring two quick goals to put the visitors ahead.

Substitute Junior Olaïtan later rescued a point for Beşiktaş with a late equaliser.

Reflecting on the match, Ndidi expressed satisfaction with his team’s overall display, despite their slow start in both halves.

“I can say it was a good match. We started slowly in the first half, but we gained momentum and scored the goal.

“The same thing happened in the second half. Overall, it was a good match,” the Nigerian said after the game.
