A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Kenneth Okonkwo, has declared that President Bola Tinubu is unfit to lead Nigeria, accusing his administration of worsening economic hardship, insecurity and public health challenges.

Okonkwo made the remarks while addressing journalists in Abuja on Thursday, arguing that Nigerians had faced increasing difficulties since Tinubu assumed office on May 29, 2023.

“Tinubu is unfit to rule. He has brought us to the wilderness of hunger, disease, and death,” Okonkwo said.

The Nollywood actor turned politician criticised the administration for what he described as its failure to meet the basic needs of citizens, pointing to the rising cost of living and persistent security concerns across the country.

He also questioned Tinubu’s physical and leadership capacity to govern, insisting that the President should step aside.

Okonkwo urged Nigerians to vote against the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general election, arguing that the country needed a leader capable of addressing its current challenges.
