Celebrity businessman and nightlife promoter, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reportedly lost the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election for the House of Representatives seat representing Orsu, Orlu and Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State.

Cubana Chief Priest, who also serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, had sought to secure the APC ticket to contest for the federal constituency seat.

Following the outcome of the primary election, reactions quickly emerged across social media platforms, with several users mocking the celebrity businessman over his defeat and suggesting he may have underestimated the realities of Nigerian politics.

Reacting to the criticism, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, questioned why people were ridiculing Cubana Chief Priest over the loss.

“Why are people mocking Cubana Chief Priest? Not nice… it’s ok to try and try again.

“He lost an election and so what? I am disappointed,” Success wrote on his Facebook page.
