Manchester City have completed a domestic double after defeating Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
The victory marks a return to winning ways for Pep Guardiola’s side after suffering defeats in their previous two FA Cup finals against Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
Both teams struggled to create clear chances during a closely contested first half, which ended without a goal.
Manchester City eventually broke the deadlock in the second half through Antoine Semenyo, who finished off a well worked team move to secure the winner.
The triumph means City have now added the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup title they claimed in March following a 2-0 victory over Arsenal.
Guardiola’s men also remain firmly in the Premier League title race, sitting two points behind Arsenal with two matches left to play this season.
