The meeting, held in Abuja on Monday, focused on preparations and strategies for the forthcoming elections.

According to a statement shared on the party’s verified X account, the NDC leadership used the meeting to assess the readiness of its candidates and strengthen its electoral strategy across the country.

The party said the discussions centred on coordinated campaigns aimed at securing victory for its candidates at various levels of government.

The meeting was attended by the NDC governorship candidates for Bauchi State, Ibrahim Kashim; Sokoto State, Shamsu Aliyu; and Borno State, Sunusi Kashim Ibrahim.

Also present were Buba Galadima, NDC State Chairman of Kebbi State, Alhaji Mustapha Umar, and his Sokoto State counterpart, Alhaji Bello Sani Yabo, alongside other party leaders.

The engagement forms part of the NDC’s broader preparations as political parties begin to intensify mobilisation and campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general election.
