Abia Online Media Practitioners 2017 Dinner Ended in Style (Photos)

On Saturday Night Members of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (Abia State Chapter) held its 2017 End of the Year Party/Dinner Night.

The Event which held at Northcliff Hotel Umuahia availed the Association the opportunity to Count its gains.

The Abia state commissioner for information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu who was present at the event, appraising the growing influence of online journalism and blogging in the State admitted it has powers to influence change, but charged the practitioners to always put “ABIA FIRST”.

Kalu further blasted what he called the opposition media as not going the extra mile in its news hunting and management, which he asserts is tainted with politics. “Remove politics from what you do, he challenged the body. Individually we can do good, do good for Abia, report the story, do not be seen to be in the pocket of politicians”, he charged.

The President of the Association Mr James Anyalekwa Emeh who is also the Editor in Chief of Famous Online Television (IGBERE TV) said the yearn year was a better year for the Association as it united all the Online Media Influencer’s in Abia State together for on common Goal.

The organizing committee chairman of the event, Mr Ifeanyi Okali Ubaka thanked the Commissioner for making out time from his tight schedules to celebrate with us. He also thanked all the members of the great association for making the event a success.

The dinner featured Comedy, Dancing among others.
