Former Governor of Rivers State and Nigeria’s Minister For Transportation Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi said come 2019,the All Progressive Congress(APC) shall chase all the Idiots occupying the Rivers State Government House.
Amaechi who spoke at a Rally organised by members of the All Progressive Congress in his Honour said the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has brought untold hardship and pains to Rivers People.
Amaechi asked Opobo people to compare his First Tenure as the Governor of Rivers State and the current administration led by Governor Nyesom Wike to enable them realize that the PDP led Administration has failed Rivers People.
The president, *Free Rivers Development Initiative (FRDI)* an APC NGO, Engr Sampson Ngerebara stated that Rivers people deserves a better and visionary Governor than Governor Nyesom Wike.
Engr. Ngerebara posit that Nyesom Wike is a Governor with a stolen mandate and must be sent out of government house in 2019.
Dr. Sam Sam Jaja in his speech appreciated the honourable minister for all his developmental presence in every part of the LGA. “Opobo people are grateful to Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who has at every time seen Opobo people as his own brothers and sisters and for all the numerous people oriented projects he executed in Opobo/Nkoro while he held sway as the Governor of Rivers state”.
Dr. Jaja also stated that Dr. Dakuku Peterside, an AMAOPUSENIBO of Opobo Kingdom is a worthy and illustrious son loved by his people and is deserving of any honour conferred on him by the good people of Opobo and Nkoro kingdoms.
Dr. Dakuku Peterside in his speech said Opobo/Nkoro is one LGA that benefited in no small measure when Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was Governor of Rivers state. Dr. Peterside told the mammoth crowd that graced today’s event that, the only functional Health center today in the LGA was built by Amaechi. Other benefits includes, 27 sons and daughters of Opobo and Nkoro who were sent abroad for their studies on scholarship, the Opobo Fish farm which has long been abandoned by Wike, the massive land reclamation, the posting of more Teachers to the schools in Opobo/Nkoro LGA, the appointment of the first Opobo son as the commissioner of works and finance, the upgrading of five (5) chieftaincy stools as against the only one (1) initially recognized. Dr. Who continued in his appreciation stated that the ancestors of Opobo and Nkoro kingdoms are happy with AMAECHI and Opobo/Nkoro people are delighted to honor him today and will continue to follow him wherever he goes.
