An 11 man peace committee drawn from the various INEC recognized wards in Ohafia Local Government Area have been inaugurated with a charged to broker a truce and bring back perceived disenchanted and aggrieved members back to PDP family.
Speaking while inaugurating the Committee members in Umuahia, the Deputy Chief of staff to the Governor, Chief Ukpai Agwu Ukpai disclosed that the move was geared towards attaining the best political synergy in Ohafia Local government area as to end all bickering and disillusionment among party members in the interest of the party both at local and state levels.
Chief Ukpai said all aggrieved party members are expected to meet with the committee on or before August 23, 2018 and lauded stakeholders and members for conducting themselves in an orderly members.
The Committee which has Chief Ukpai Ukairo and Chief George Nnanna Kalu as chairman and secretary respectively, has one week to submit its findings.
In their remarks, the member representing Ohafia North State Constituency, Chief Mandela Obasi , the PDP Chairman, Ohafia LGA , Chief John Okocha and a House of Assembly aspirant from the area, Chief Emeka Nwoke while commending the leaders of the party for their thoughtfulness in convening the meeting which have given members the opportunity to express themselves and stressed the need for every stakeholders to do all in their power to make the party more vibrant.
