Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu joined the Sokoto State Governor, RT. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal at the mini Durbar for the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar 111 in Sokoto today
Ikpeazu was in Sokoto to witness the Durbar event held at the Shehu Kangiwa Square in honour of Sultan’s 10th anniversary.
Dignitaries who witnessed the Sultan 10th anniversary Durbar include, former president Olusegun Obasanjo who also rode on the horse as a traditional titleholder in the Seat of the Caliphate. Former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
Others include governors of Imo, Abia, Adamawa, Bauchi Kebbi, Niger, Zamfara, Rivers as well as members of the National Assembly.
Emirs of Kano, Argungu, Gusau, Attah Igala, Oni of Ife as well as majority of the first class traditional leaders across the country graced the occasion.
