A bus, Sunday evening, ran into a section of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly perimeter fence, fueling suspicions that the sacked lawmakers may have hatched another ploy to gain access into the 6th Assembly chambers.
“It is suspected to be a ploy by Idongesit Ituen and his cotravellers to create an opening for an illegal entry into the chambers,” a security operative on ground told our reporter.
The bus over shot the gutter and collided on a section of the fence, leaving an opening close to the Hallowed chambers section of the complex.
But the security men of the House of Assembly repelled the move and the culprit has arrested and whisked away for interrogation.
Meanwhile remedial work is ongoing to fix the fence under the strict supervision of the Assembly security agents.
“The plot is already failed one. The gutter on the road and the distance between the fence and the road makes the story of an accident a farce,” a bystander retorted.
