Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is funding an illegal protest against the Collation of Governorship election results, Scan-News has learnt. Several mini buses ferried thugs from Edo and Imo States into Port Harcourt on Monday evening.
The protest is being coordinated by Mr Anabs Sara Igbe. A businessman from Kula is providing alternative funding.
Anabs Sara Igbe Scan-News gathered has paid out money to Amaechi’s Factional Leaders to mobilise people for the protest aimed at generating violence.
Sara-Igbe sent out the following WhatsApp message to Amaechi coordinators:
“Operation Shutdown Port Harcourt for INEC.
You are most respectively invited to cover a mass Demonstration/ Procession of Rivers indegnes and non indegnes against the open day robbery of the votes in favour of the PDP and Governor Wike, in collaboration with INEC against the people of Rivers State
“Cluster point: Air force Junction
Time: 7:30am
Route: Air force – Bori Camp – Presidential junction – Agip Junction -,Ikwerre Road-Azikiwe Road-Station Road- Moscow.

It was learnt that the imported thugs are to create violence as instructed by the Minister of Transportation.
The Rivers State Government has already banned all processions for law and order to be maintained.
