Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court Abuja has formally transferred further proceedings in the matter between Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Uche Ogah to the court of Appeal.
The Transfer of the Proceedings to the Court Of Appeal by Justice Abang Okon became necessary following the commencement of sitting on the Appeal filed by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu against the June 27th Judgement of the lower Court which had disqualified Ikpeazu on grounds that he presented a forged TAX Receipts.
But On Friday 8th July 2016 in a similar matter filed by an aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in the December 8 2014 Governor Primaries of the PDP in Abia State Barr Friday Nnadozie Nwosu,Justice A.I Allagoa of the Owerri Division of the Federal High Court ruled that the Tax Certificates presented by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu were not forged.
All Parties now head to the Court of Appeal,as only the Appeal Court can make a pronouncement that will be valid on this matter
