Barely five Days Professor Chistian Aluka ,the Provost of Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) led the President of Abia State University Medical Students Association and some students to Protests against the Government of Okezie Ikpeazu,the governor has given an unsolicited Car gift to the Provost of the Institution.

Recall that on the 14th of March 2016,Prof Chistian Aluka,the Provost of Abia State University Teaching Hospital(ABSUTH) led the Medical Students to protests against the Abia State Government over the poor condition of the Staff and Students of the Abia State University Teaching Hospital.

The protest was anchored by Students of the Abia State University Hospital who were Lamenting of serious inhuman studying environment despite huge academic fees.
It was gathered that they have been no light and water in the Institution for the past 40 days despite the harsh school fees of over N180,000 being paid by the Students.
They claim the state government had long neglected the only Teaching hospital in the state: while the doctors are being owed 3 months salary, while the students are also forced to study in harsh conditions.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu,apparently worried by the negative implication of the protest,quickly purchased a Brand New Car for the Provost of the Institution ,even when it was clear that car was not what the Medical Students were asking For
