The Court of Appeal sitting in ABUJA has nullified the election of Senator George Sekibo of the PDP,who was declared winner of the Rivers East Senatorial election by INEC.
The court of Appeal was ruling on the Appeal brought by the candidate of the APC Hon.Andrew Uchendu against the earlier judgement of the Rivers National Assembly election petition tribunal which had earlier upheld the election of George Sekibo.

The court held that the testimonies of the Subpoenaed witnesses brought by the APC candidate must be looked into.

The court ordered INEC to conduct election in the Senatorial district within 90days
