The Federal Government has replaced the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde.
Lamorde has been replaced with Ibrahim Magu, a top level staff of the Governance Unit of the Commission.
Informed sources said his tenure expires this week.
He is however being probed by the Senate over allegations of illegally amassing N1 trillion for himself.
The money was said to be proceeds from seizures made from suspects such as a former Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun, and late Governor of Bayelsa State, Dipreye Alamieyeseigha.
