Former Commissioner For Agriculture in Rivers State Mr.Emma Chindah today failed to appear before Justice G.O Omereji led Judicial panel of enquiry set up by the Rivers State Governor Barr.Nyesom Wike to look into how Amaechi Led Administration disbursed some funds allocated and accrued to the State.
The Panel had through its Secretary Mrs.Queen Godwin extended an invitation to the Former Commisioner of Agriculture in the Amaechi regime as Rivers Governor,the Commision asked Chindah to come along with some relevant documents to the Panels Inaugural sitting today Monday 24th Auguts 2014 at the Chief Judge memorial Hall to brief the Panel how over N4billion Central Bank of Nigeria Agricultural Loan was disbursed by his ministry.
A Check by PUO REPORTS revealed that Emma Chindah neither appeared before the Panel no gave any excuse over his inability to honour the Panel’s Invitation.
Reacting to the decision of Mr.Chindah to snub the Panels invitation,a Portharcout Based Public Affairs Analyst Barr.Ken Atsuwete told PUO REPORTS Over the telephone that by virtue of the Commisions invitation to Emma Chindah despite not being inaugurated,it has already shown the Public that it wont be fair to both parties.
“I observe
the inuagural Sitting of the Justice G.O Omereji Led Panel i was suprised to read announcement in the
media,that Emma Chindah,i wondered,queried,if the inaugural has not been
done,does it has the power to send notices to a particular individual,it is not
fair,why would the panel extends its invitation to someone when it has not been
inuagurated,they have not been given prior notice,they
have not been given fair hearing”.Atsuwete Argued.
It will be recalled that a Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt had lastweek asked the Panel to go ahead with its terms of Reference by the Rivers State Governor
