Abia Judiciary Suspends STRIKE following Ikpeazu’s Intervention

Members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) Abia State chapter has suspended their 62-day old strike.In a statement of thank you by the governor, he said the judiciary workers showed good understanding with the state government and demonstrated the spirit of patriotism by responding to the incentive of the government towards the workers.


“Since the state government has commenced compliance with the agreement reached with the Union in June, there was no reason the Union should continue the strike, adding that he was happy they have seen reason to reciprocate the good gesture of the state government.” the statement read.
While enjoining the workers to commence work in earnest, Governor Ikpeazu described
the judiciary as a very crucial arm of government, stating that the government cannot
function effectively without the support and contributions of the judiciary.
“I will maintain The commitment of this administration towards the welfare of Abia workers and promise to maintain a cordial relationship between the government and the different groups of worker’s union.” the statement Signed by Godwin adikwu, the Chief Press Secretary concluded.
