Following the overwhelming evidence of compromise leveled against the controversial Resident Electoral Commissioner in Rivers State Mrs Gesilah Khan,the economic and Financial Crimes Commision(EFCC) has frozen the bank accounts of Dame Khan.
On Tuesday,the department of state Security Services(DSS) quizzed the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Rivers state and some Top INEC staff,and asked her to be reporting at the commissions headquarters in Abuja.
The Rivers State Chapter of the APC had accused the Inec REC and some Top officials of the commission of taken bribes and compromising the electoral body during the April 11th Governorship election in the state.The Party also accused Dame Khan of frustrating efforts made by the party to inspect the electoral materials used during the polls as ordered by the Tribunal.
Dame Khan was deployed to Rivers state in the build up to the general election in Rivers state by former President Goodluck Jonathan and she was believed to have colluded with the PDP to rig the Rivers State GUBER Polls.
