The Sharing of the remains of the over N1.1billion spent by Chief Wike to host the National Dream Team during the Football Match in Rivers State between Niger v Congo Under 21, has caused serious disagreement between top officials of his Government. One of the Committee Members, who was a key beneficiary under the “Milk and Honey” era in the state and also a Director Representing the State in the Board of one of the National TV Companies, had challenged a very senior official in Government House for allegedly releasing the approved fund less of N150m.

The Senior officer was alleged to have done so with the consent of “OGA”, but off course since the aggrieved Committee member could not go to “OGA” he began to grumble  to the hearing of some other persons. He was quoted to have said “imagine, almost N1billion wey OGA approve for this match only one man wan chop N200m, dey tell me say OGA dey aware. Is it fair?. If that is how they will run this Government, it is unacceptable oh”. The Committee members was said to have complained very bitterly.

Meanwhile, our source gathered that the Government spent so much to host that match:
1. State Local Organising committee N531m (Logistics for the period: feeding of Team Members, accommodation, internal Transportation, etc)
2. Security Committee N250m
3. Match Organising Committee  N100m (National)
4. Honorarium for players and coaches (Nigeria and Congo) $500,000 (N120m)
Of course the Governor was said to have made additional expenses to motivate the Dream Team:
$200,000 (46,000,000) for the Team and $60,000 (13,800,000) for the two goals at $30,000 per goal.

This is coming after Governor Wike had borrowed N30billion with the first 30day in officer.
