The National Assembly election petition Tribunal Panel sitting at Court of Appeal Complex, Abuja has struck out the petition filled by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Akoku-toru/Asari Toru Federal Constituency in Rivers Hon.Dawari George challenging the victory of Hon.Boma Goodhead in the March 28 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The Tribunal Judge while ruling on the matter cited the violation Section 85 ( 1) of the Electoral Act which states that all political party must give the Independent National Electoral Commision( INEC) 21 days notice before holding primaries to elect its Candidates.
The Tribunal Judge blamed the APC For not notifying INEC as provided on section 85(1)of the electoral act.
