Yesterday 7th June 2021, Distinguish Senator Andy Uba a Frontline governorship aspirant in the forthcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election submitted his expression of interest / nomination form at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abuja to put to rest speculations concerning his interest in the electoral contest ahead.
While he was at the Abuja National Secretariat of the ruling party to submit his nomination form, the drum of support by his crowd supporters reconfirmed his profile as the leading contender for the party ticket.
Andy Uba was at the Party Secretariat in tow with The DG Andy Uba Campaign Council, in the person of Hon Paul Chukwuma, the Admin Secretary of AUCC Hon Chidi Orji, The entire 21 Local Government Cordinators and members of the Andy Uba Campaign Council, AUCC, such as Amb Eliajah Onyeagba , Current Nigeria Ambassador to Federal republic of Burundi, Sen Magre Okadigbo, Amb Jerry Ugokwe former Nigeria Ambassador to Austra, Prince John Emeka, former Nigeria Minister of Transport, Hon Izuchukwu Okeke Apc Anambra South Zonal Chairman, Dr Obiorah Obiajulu, Chief Obi Okoli, Hon Chizo Obidigbo, Dr Nicholas Igwe, Hon Ekene Enefe, Hon Peter Onuorah and other dignitaries.
Sen Andy Uba and his entourage were received at the Party Secretariate by the National Secetary of the party Senator John James Akpanudoedehe and top Directors of APC, who expressed delight at Andy Uba’s interest in contesting the election under APC Platform.
While Addressing the Party National Excos, party faithfuls and his entire followers , Distinguish Sen. Andy Uba gave the assurance that he has the capacity not only to fly the Party ticket but to win the general gubernatorial election and also will bring in his multitude of experience in serving his State and the entire Anambarians.
Andy Uba, until 2019 was a senator at the National Assembly where he was instrumental to a number of bills signed into law such as Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme, Nigeria Railway Corporation bill, National inland water ways Authority Bill etc and with far reaching impact on the economy, socal and development lives of Nigerians.
Before being a senator, he was an all powerful special aide to a former president, in 2007 Distinguish Senator Andy Uba contested and won Anambra governorship election in 2007 but was removed by judicial pronouncement.
