The candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia state Dr.Alex Oti today escaped death at Ntigha Junction in Isialangwa south L.G.A of the state.
Promise Uzoma Okoro learnt from an eye witness that the APGA candidate and his campaign team were on their way to Osisioma L.G.A to hold a town hall meeting in continous of his campaign tour when feeders began to emerge that all venues meant for the town hall meeting has been locked up under the directives of the state government.
PUO gathered that the thugs who were armed with matchets and some dangerous weapons immediately started stoning the APGA candidate and his campaign team in an attempt to directly injure the APGA candidate,according to my source the thugs blocked all roads leading in and out of the community to ensure their plot was executed smoothly.
PUO learnt that following the immediate intervention of Oti’s security details,two of the suspected thugs were arrested,several campaign buses of the APGA candifdates was destroyed.
It will be recalled that this is the second time in recent times that the APGA candidate will be melted with such an act of violent by thugs reportyedly sponsored by some powerful politicians in the state.
