The battle of who becomes the Senate Minority Leader has turned to a fight between Dollars and Naira as Senators Godswill Akpabio has secretly bribed his Colleagues with $100,000 which is approximately Million in order to ensure he was elected the Minority Leader of the Senate,when the Senate resumes Next Week,A confident Source Revealed To Puo Reports.

There has been a battle of supremacy between Senator Godswill Akpabio Representing Akwa -Ibom West Senatorial District and Senator George Sekibo representing Rivers East Senatorial District in the National Assembly,while Sen.Sekibo from Rivers State stands a better chance for the position since he is a returning Senator,Sen.Godswill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom does not enjoy that chance since he is a first timer in the Senate.

It was learnt that all the Senators elected on the platform of the PDP has accepted Akpabio,s offer,except his rival Senator George Thompson Sekibo from Rivers State.PDP has 49 Senators in the Senate

The National Working Committee of the PDP had penciled down George Sekibo as the parties Choice,but Akpabio who just finished as Governor in Akwa Ibom State has since insisted that he stands a better option than George Sekibo,whom the party had chosen for the position

Puo Reports learnt yesterday that some Senators elected on the platform of the PDP dragged Akpabio to a Federal High Court in Abuja praying it to stop Akpabio from being presented as a candidate for the election as Senate Minority Leader.
