“No one takes the goods of a strongman except he first binds the strongman”…..APC must realise this or the enemy will take over the government. That’s the sinister plot by the Rivers PDP!
The whole orchestrated plot by the NEW government of Rivers state to stop the intended appointment of Rotimi Amaechi by President Muhammadu Buhari as Secretary of the Federal Government or otherwise is not only an exercise in futility, but a waste of public funds.
There is no use in dissipating energy and wasting resources which should be channelled towards more developmental projects on a menial project called AMAECHI. But I may be wrong here cos the level of mudslinging and host of nocturnal meetings against this project makes it a big one. For those who vilify Gov. Wike for not yet engaging in real governance, I guess they are wrong here. In fact, the biggest project embarked upon by the NEW government is Amaechi. N30bn was borrowed just for this purpose. Unfortunately, this project may never be completed cos the foundation is faulty.
Wike and his handful of supporters simply do not want Amaechi appointed. It is not for the reasons they adduce, but the underlying truth is that Wike knows what the matchet does to the neck of the goat. He has been through that road before, where as a Minister he derailed governance in Rivers state under Amaechi and denied the people more development. But Wike need not worry about Amaechi and what he will do if power is given to him at the top. The reasons are not farfetched. First, the circumstances are not the same anymore, cos there is no longer a clueless President with a controlling wife on the seat of power. Secondly, there is no confirmation yet that the NEW government under him in Rivers state will last long. Therefore, he need not panic about the shadows of ‘death’ cos the reality is yet to come!
The desperation exhibited at the moment with the likes of Livingstone Nyeche sacrificing their integrity at the altar of appropriate technology or better still, stomach infrastructure only confirms the Bible to be true, for those who are still in doubt. It was no surprise that Judas offered to to become the last sin eater. 30 shekels of silver, less than what Delilah was offered to destroy Samson.
Brandishing a sworn affidavit to prove a case of corruption against Amaechi is the least a sane man would do. But the offer was huge!
My worry is not about the lies being concocted by the household enemies of Amaechi, my worry is that those who are behind the sporadic attacks on the former governor are not interested in recovering whatever loot they accuse him of, rather, they just don’t want him in Buhari’s government.
Without conceding to their garrulous lies and intents, I beg to ask if it were possible for the accuser of the brethren, the Devil, to stop Christ from sitting on the right hand side of God?
Amaechi may not be perfect, but he sure has a limitless grace.
Not even the father of the prodigal son could deny him of his right of inheritance.
Just as President Jonathan refused to bulge to the reports submitted by the DSS, EFCC and the ICPC against Wike before his appointment as Junior Minister, so will President Buhari not concede to the reports of these illegitimate Judges to stop Amaechi’s appointment.
The APC knows what it means to bind their strongmen!!!
