Tribunal Begins PRE-TRIAL Of Dakuku’s Petition Against Wike

The Rivers State Governorship election Tribunal sitting in
Abuja will today Monday August 10th 2015 begin the pre-trial of the
petition brought by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the
April 11th governorship election in Rivers State Dr.Dakuku Adol
Peterside.

Peterside and his Party,had filled a petition dated May 3
2015 at the election Tribunal challenging the declaration of Barr.Nyesom Wike
of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and Governor Of Rivers State by the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

The tribunal on its inaugural sitting May 13th
2015 had ordered the notices be served to Barr.Wike of the PDP,the Tribunal
order was resisted by thugs loyal to Barr. Nyesom Wike,until the Tribunal
orderd for the notices to be served in on pages of Newspapers.

Another order by the Tribunal which is yet to be obeyed by
INEC and PDP is the inspection of electoral materials used by INEC during the
conduct of the April 11th 2015 Governorship Poll,Both INEC and the
PDP had frustrated that order.

But the Tribunal Chairman Justice Muazu Pindiga had last
week fixed Today Monday August 10th for commencement of Pre=trial of
the Petition following the clearing of all the preliminary motion brought by
Counsels to the PDP and INEC.
