On May 28, 2015, few hours before handover, Governor Amaechi diverted N550m from Rivers State AccountsIn another shocking expose, Rivers people have yet again been alerted on how Governor Amaechi diverted about N500 million from the coffers of the Rivers State Government for what he termed “Ongoing Project” in Abuja. Officials of the Rivers State Government have denied knowledge of any ongoing Rivers State Project in Abuja that will require half a billion naira at a time when Rivers students on international scholarships were going through abject neglect as their fees and allowances had not been paid for over 7 months.
